Default Tool Kit

Stoopid question - but my bike didn't come with the tool kit in the trunk.

What's in it? Is it easy to recreate? Are there special wrenches in there?

Also - I found one for a 01-03 but I have an 06. Anyone know if there is a difference?

thanks y'all

Mine has... tire pressure guage. An assortment of wrenches: 8mm,10mm,12mm,22mm,27mm. a screwdriver kit with philips and flat head. a special wrench that is used for setting the preload of the rear shock. And if someone could explain this to me... there also seems to be a single 0.7 feeler guage. i'm not sure what that would be for.

Oh, and i assume the 06 would be the same as the '03

To be completely honest, I have never used the tool kit ever. If the going gets bad. A tool kit with no spare parts wont really do too much. I do keep an Allen wrench kit though in case bolts get loose. But i usually leave my tool kit at home since i can bearly fit my registration in the trunk anyways.

spark plug wrench and rear shock preload wrench w/extension are the only 2 special components...
contrary to xuracing though, I've almost exclusively used the toolkit for most _minor_ fixes, with the addition of an allen wrench set, a tire pressure gauge and now a tire patch kit! -mostly so I don't have to rummage through tools to find the right size every time.

I assume the feeler gauge is to set the spark plug gap.

I guess all I really need is the wrench to set shock preload. That's pretty important to me.

Anybody have an extra?

the tool kit the bike comes with is crap. buy yourself 1 socket set and keep the 12mm in there with it, and an Allen wrench and a zip tie or two and your good to go.

The tool kit it comes with is pretty basic. Allen wrench, couple of mm wrenches, a screwdriver. If your doing anything serious to our bike, its not going to help. If you have to tighten a bolt or 5mm, its great to have on hand. I use my tool kit to keep my registration in. I already lost my registration somewhere, so I put it in the tool kit now.
