This question is a loaded question as everyone has their favorites, but this is what I run on my F4i and LOVE them. http://stores.sportbiketrackgear.com/Detail.bok?no=421

Depends on what type of riding you are doing. Just sit back and actually think about what you plan on doing with the bike the majority of the time. Then pick the tire. There are several videos out there explaining compounds and tread patterns on tires. Don't just pick a "Michelin PP2ct" because someone said thats what they use. I would never suggest that tire to anyone that doesnt visit the occasional track day. Even if you are slicing through some "killer twisties" it's complete overkill for street use.

I'm running Dunlop Sportmax Roadsmarts. I know they are more of a touring tire as they are supposed to be a higher mile tire, they still seem more grippy than the Skinko Advance 005's that were on it when I bought it.

+1 on deciding the type of riding you'll be doing and researching from there.

i have shinko 005s on my bike, and they r just terrible in the rain...give it a little throttle and my back tire starts to slide out....but in the dry weather theyre alright...

I got Shinko 006, on the street I havent noticed a difference between them and the Pilot Sports that I had before them.
They are ok in the rain as well.

SpeedyF4i, those Shinko 005 are meant for dry only, they are not dry/wet tires.

the Shinko 005's i had were pretty well toast when i got the bike (front was starting to cup and the rear had a huge chicken strips creating a pretty hard lip the the edge of a fairly flat spot). their likelihood of sliding out in wet conditions made any chance of rain made me want to be in a cage if i was going somewhere. the hard edges made leaning into turns less than desirable feeling. i figured that if i was starting from new they might be ok.

as far as the Roadsmarts go, they seem to do great in the rain. leaning on wet turns doesn't scare me...just makes me regret getting the bike dirty in the rain. i haven't spun the tires wet or dry they seem to have all the grip i ask of them. i have 2500 miles so far give or take and wear is barely showing.

I currently run regular Michelin Pilot Powers... not the 2cts.... I track ride occasionally and these work for me. However I have felt the limits of these tires... If you street ride, and do track, maybe a set of Dunlop Q2s would be best. For me, I just run the regular pilot powers on street then swap tires for the track. Finally got me some tire warmers so I can run a true track tire!
