I'm riding a Plug'd tire as well. Got it about 100miles into the new tire. No problems. Did all the proper steps.

I'll probably pony up for new tires when summer rolls around again, but we'll see.

If you dont have the "coin" to properly maintain a bike, you probably shouldn't have one then!!

Just because some choose to plug a tire doesnt mean they dont have the coin to maintain their rides.

Its just a personal preference to plug or not to plug. I for one plug and will again if need be.

[quote=Sick97SS;973985]Most panseys will tell you to get a new tire. if you got the coin, go for it.

My buddy is cheap and gets tires with holes and plugs them then rides them to the cords on his 636. I myself will not ride a plugged or patched motorcycle tire.

Dude I take home around $1000 a week so coin has nothing to do with me using a Plug Or a Patch or replacing the tire!
I for one do not see the need to replace a tire for a small nail hole when it can be fixed.
I have serviced small cars Light trucks and Heavy trucks and equipment.
I know what you can and can not do to a tire and a plug done properly is a safe bet.
A Patch is a safer Bet and true a new tire is the best Bet gut in the end it is up to the end user and I would Never Tell some one that they Have to get a New tire If it is not needed.

The only thing a Plug can do is come out.
Now if you go out and do Burn outs and smoke your tire then No a plug is not for you
A patch "May" stand a chance at leaking.
Now if you go out and do Burn outs you well not Pull out the patch so I would say it is the safer rout.
A new tire you stand the chance of getting a nail Screw Stable "what ever" in it and what you going to go Buy another one?
But as I say to each there own and enjoy the Ride

Don't even bother with that guy - Outlaw is about as close to a troll as you can get without getting the BAN stick.
