Default Tinted Windscreen for 06' F4i

Is the Double Bubble a good windscreen? I'm looking for a nice tinted windscreen with a little better wind protection than the stock one.

Also is replacing it as easy as just removing the screws and dropping in the new one? I can't tell if the threaded grommets are made onto the stock shield or not. If not, it looks like the lower two screws near the instrument cluster could be a pain.

Thank for any tips.

I just ordered a black tinted Puig Widescreen for my bike. I read lots of reviews on them saying they are very good quality. Although my friend has one and dosent like it because the angle shoots the wind stream directly into his eyes when he's sitting up straight. I guess its just personal preferance and/or how you sit on the bike. Personally I think they look sweet!! The stock screen was easy to remove, just remove the screws. The stock one has the rubber grommets, Im guessing you just move them to the new screen and install (not 100% sure, but seems logical)

This is the one I just ordered but for the f4i

For the ZG-DB you retain your stock hardware.

personally I do not like the double bubble or the puig screen cause they very radically increase in hieght. I personally like the DMP Highbank screens cause they gradually and smoothly increase in hieght and are cheaper and ust as good of quality and made of the same material as the puig or zero gravity double bubble screens. If you look at the pics that I have on my for sale thread on a dmp screen you will see what I am talking about.

If you can't use the orginal rubber garmets on the new windscreen (as I couldn't), you can find generic garmets at your local shop. They cost about $10.

I got the sportech chrome windscreen. It looks really pimp on the blue f4i especially with my chrome face shield on my helmet. =) Mine just used the original hardware Its really easy to do but dont overtighten the screws or it will look all funky. The only complaint I have is at the bottom of the windscreen theres a gap about 1/8" from the plastic and the screen. I'm a perfectionist and it kinda annoys me and I always notice it. When I took my bike into the shop to get the 600 mile maintenance done they shop guy just said "well thats what happens when you use aftermarket parts." Kind of lame if you ask me but I guess I can't argue with the service techs, they'll probably break my bike and say "oh now its a $500 repair."
