Timing of Cam Chain Tensioner Replacement

Default Timing of Cam Chain Tensioner Replacement

I see there are a lot of posts about replacing the cam chain tensioner on these bikes. I was curious how many miles people had before they starting going bad. I just bought my bike about 2 months ago and now I think I need to replace the tensioner. My bike has 3300 miles on it. Is that about normal? Thanks in advance!

yea i have been wondering that myself, i am in the same situation you are in, except mine has about 2300 miles on it. I keep hearing this clicking sound as it revs up, im really kinda new to bikes and looking at all these posts and im kinda worried about it. I bought my bike used, and what would cause a bike to have this problem, cause it seems pretty frequent. if anybody has anything about this please let me know, thanks
