Default Time to move on...

I wrecked my F4i a few weeks ago, most of it is cosmetic, so I filed my insurance and got back 3200 and kept my F4i. I am going to sell the F4i for 1800 as is, and I got an 05 1000RR. So, I will be around but spending more time in the 1000RR section.

For now, I still have the bike and might just fix it and sell it for more than 1800. I figure about 800 in parts off Ebay and it will be good as new.

The 1000RR has 1600 miles on it and it cost me 5500. Its like brand new. I will post some pics for you guys later.

Congrats on the new buy! Sure you don't want to just keep it and slowly fix it back up? Nobody hates having two bikes!

Sorry about your bike & glad you're OK. Sounds like you came out better in the end though. You got a check, kept the bike & upgraded (great deal, BTW)

I have Farm Bureau, They came by and took two photos, but I gave them a spread sheet of all the parts from bikebandit.com and i had over 7700 in damages to replace all new parts, since it was 75% over the value of the bike, they total it. I got 3200 and I keep the bike. Not too bad of a deal if you ask me, cuz its all just fairings that are damaged and a shifter and stay fairing bracket and mirrors.

I have a guy who wants to buy it from me, I am either gonna sell it to him or fix it back up. There's always someone who wants it, but when it comes to paying for it, they don't have the money.

Here's the nutz thing about insurance, I put the full coverage on the 1000RR and it is only 215.00 a year and the F4i was 212.00 a year. So then I put liability on the F4i and its only 6 bucks a month.

I hope that 7700 isn't to replace the parts because that's not even worth the rebuild...but for 6 bucks a month?! Keep it!
