So when i ride...i hear a ticking sound in certain RPM ranges especially in low RPMs cuz when ur going fast, you cant hear jack. For a while i thought it was the chain but today at the light, i was in neutral and i reved it a bit and it started to tick, i'm thinking it could be the valves or something but then it could be something lose that's rattling because it only does it in certain RPMS so i'm a bit lost on this. i'm new to bikes so i'm just going with what i know from my experience with cars.

any imputs on this mysterious noise?

 

Could be the CCT as Hondas are known for this in the 5-6K rpm range.

Thanks guys, what would i need to do to fix this problem? Is it something i can do myself with buddies of mine who knows how to work on bikes or would this need to be done by the stealership?

 

It's a relative easy fix, just cumbersome. There is always a lot of debate on which to get, stock or manual. Look around on this forum for that info, I have not had to change mine.

There are a couple of good instructionals, if I can remember where they are I will post it.

Can't go wrong with stock CCT (unless it goes out again)
I don't know much about the manual one, the brand I believe is APE.
