Throttle too responsive?

Default Throttle too responsive?

Ok i've had Ororo since April and i'm thinking its time to try adjusting the throttle. No matter what i try it seems the throttle has 3 positions: Off, On and On+

I can maintain speed in the lower gears with the tiniest rotation of my wrist. And the smallest speed adjustment i can make is about +3 mph. I know i'm better than that. Is there any way to adjust the throttle response without introducing slack in the cables? I want to fine tune the response, not change when the throttle kicks in

Sounds like a gummy carb or sticky throttle plates. In neutral i can hold any rpm with precision. Jumpy "off and on" throttle is usually means the carbs can use a cleaning. on F3's (and other carbbed bikes) of course

sounds like you may also have a 1/3 1/4 turn throttle kit installed.

This is in the f4i section so what is it? If its a carbed f3 like your sig then check for the throttle kit previously mentioned. If its an f4i or fi bike, check the TPS out aswell as for a throttle kit. The honda bikes generally have a wide opening which is smoother especially the f4i. I put the f4i throttle tube on my r1 to make it less twitchy.

Yeah one of these days I'll sit down with Photoshop and update my sig.

Ororo is my F4i. I doubt seriously the PO put on a throttle kit. He didn't strike me as the type. Is the TPS adjustable? I know when I broke down the carbs in my F3, the TPS didn't seem adjustable.

TPS on an F3?? That doesn't make sense. Correct me if I'm wrong but the carbed bikes have no use for a TPS...

There is a throttle sensor on Carb #1 of my 95 F3.

throttle responce is night and day from carb to FI bikes, it was a interesting change for me from my 900RR to my 929RR, the throttle is extremely sensitive to any twist. takes a little getting used to , however i dont think you should try and make the thing LESS responsive. A little advice would be to find the right gear before your corner and hold your throttle position firm and ROLL into the throttle on exit. Kuro , you really need to update your siggy bro...peeps still think your on yer f3...

Lol i know i know bambam. I've been working on throttle control in straight lines since i got the F4i. Like i said the best speed change i can get in lower gears is about +-3 mph. So i'm starting to wonder if i need to adjust the throttle.

I try not to corner heavily in 1st. Way too twitchy
