Default Thoughts on Pirelli Tires

Just outta curiousity, what do you guys think about the pirellis tires. Are they worth the price, which ones are the best for hitting twisties, and are there any other tires that you would recommend over them. I ride twisties a lot but also spend a lot of time on highways and main roads so I am looking for a tire with good grip but also will last on straights.

Pirellis are my tire of choice. Here is a good link to help you on your decision...

sportec M3s (metzeler) are pretty good too. they're sticky but have 25% more mileage than M1s.

I've only been riding for about 4 months. My stock tires were bald and my rear got a flat, so I ended up going to the shop and the cheapest tires they had was the pirelli diablos.

I guess they're okay. I start to really hang the turns now, and feels comfortable. but what do i know, i'm still a noob. lol

I hate the profile of most sport touring tires (Dunlop D220, Bridestone BT20, Continental's STs), but have been using some Diablo Stradas and am very happy with them. They have a nice sporty shape and are suprisingly sticky, and I've got 4-5000 miles on them with virtually no squaring off of the rear tire. I got them for the winter, but I think they're gonna last well into spring so I'll probably be replacing them prematurely for trackday season.

I run diablos and I love them. They come on alot of nice new bikes stcok like the R1 and MV's so they are a high quality performance tire. Plus they are not like pilot powers, on every bike you see which I like

I am in need of tires too before riding season. I dont go to the track or anything like that, just general riding on back roads and what not. Are there any tires that are proven to be the best or is it pretty much personal prefference. I know pirellis are a well known performance tire for cars is it the same for bikes? I heard metzeler`s are really good too. Thank you for any feedback.

Havent tried the Pirelli's, but like someone said before, the MEitzler M3's are a VERY good tire and great stick too!
