Default Thinking of changing gas cap...

I hate having to use the key for the gas cap. I want to go with a keyless cap like vortex or the likes. Does anyone have something other than stock on their bike that they like or dislike?

I like the key for one reason. I have, and hopefully will not, left the key in the back of my bike when locking my helmet up. I just use the key with no key ring or anything, but I'd come back even 2 HOURS later, and I'd have a panic attack. So when I'm at the gas station, I know I won't lose or forget my key.

Pulling the key out of the ignition sometimes bugs me when im at a gas station and i don't even get off the bike to fill-up. But i think the piece of mind knowing that no one is going to open my fuel cap but me is more important. No matter what their intentions are...nothing goes into or comes out of that tank unless i know about it.

Zero... um could you revise that and get back to us lol... Im not getting the sense out of that one..

I would be afraid that some one could just open up the tank and steal a couple gallons of gas.. Im sure its not worth some ones effort but with gas prices today you never know..

So how does that unit work? Does it just unscrew a couple of times? does it make one click? When the cap comes off and you go to refuel do you have to set the cap down? Trying to think if its going to be just as much working putting a key in and turning it then letting it be.

basically the cap unscrews. basically the cap and base are two separate pieces. so i imagine when you go to gas up you will have to find a place to put the cap while you gas up. IMO having a key is less work because the cap stays on the tank but then again i used to feel as if i were going to break the key every time i would close the gas cap. I havent taken a trip to the gas station yet so i cant really say if its easier or not.

Thanks yall. I am not worried about anyone getting in there and stealing gas or doing anything else. I just hate the feel of the key in there. It does feel like it is going to break. I will look into the links and see what I think. Thank you for the pics!
