Default Thinking about something new

I haven't posted much on here. I do read from time to time. Grew up with dirt/mx on Honda's and Yamaha's. Got my first CBR back in 2008 and hit a deer. Then found a sweet 2002 CBR F4i. Made it mine with headers back to a D&D pipe, K&N intake, fender eliminator by hot bodies, nicer H4 headlights and a sprocket conversion kit where I went down -1 +2 in the rear. The bike gets more looks than my friends newer GXXR's and R6's and to be honest I can out ride them because I love the twisties and probably push harder then they do.

Way I see it I have 3 options:

1 keep her how she is and buy something newer/ faster

2 turn her into a track bike and pick something up for street

3 sell her and go with either new 1000RR or 600RR or possibly switch to dark side with a Ducati super sport.

I feel I have put the bike through a lot in 5 years and also done lots of work to keep her mint. Just finished valve adjustment last year and she runs like a charm so the idea of keeping her is on my mind. I have driven friends newer '12 CBR 600, '11 CBR 1000RR and '13 R6 '12 Ducati Monster ( I wouldn't go monster if I switched).

What is everyone thought on the new bikes that Big Red has? Will I miss my F4i or will I love the more power that new bikes have?

Thanks.

maybe you can have it all. turn your f4i to a track shredder, take home a few trophies and winnings, (you know from pushing it ) then pick up your new 1000rr or that sexy European job! hahaha not helpful im sure but that would be a dream come true!

I have decided after this weekend at the track that the F4i can spank the big boys on the track. It's all the rider. I'm going to invest in more advanced coaching myself. I have come a long way but realize I can get better. I have also decided it might be time for a new canopy for my skydive gear. Just hit 230 jumps and think I'll be looking at a new canopy and maybe new leathers and boots for the bike. My Sidi have been badass but are pretty worn. Do you guys like Alpine Stars or stay Sidi?

Thanks

I have always had alpine stars gear and it is great, light weight but still fully functional, although I do like sidi equipment as well. a few of my friends would say its better than A-stars but the way I see it, stick with what you like. Good luck out at the track!
