Default Thanks for having me and goodbye

Well, I almost convinced the treasurer in my house (my girlfriend) that spending 5k on something you use for 6 months in a year was a good investment. This after harping on and obsessing about it for about 6 months. Tomorrow we were going to see an 06 black/red F4i at my local Yamaha dealer. So today I was looking at some insurance quotes...and let's just say the g/f wasn't happy with the results...[:@] Ends up with insurance and riding gear I would end up nearly paying double what I would spend on just the bike. So that's the end of that idea of mine. [&o]

I'm gutted...[>:]

I'm a very responsible driver and would be a responsible rider...but the insurance has no way of knowing that thanks to the idiots who ride like imbeciles. Thanks a lot selfish tossers!!!

Six months of grovelling to the g/f for nothing.... [:@]

Been fun...thanks all. Cya.

Works different over here. Just to put me on the road (3rd party only) would cost me nearly half the price of the bike. Cheapest quote I got is 1,800...UK pounds. 2 of your dollars to a Brit pound. Some wont even give me fully comprehensive no matter how much I pay. [:'(]

Even in the US collision is required if you finance.

if the loan is under 5k you dont have to carry collision. i 've did it twice and the bank was fine with it

Ok, lets think about this one.

If you have to take out the loan, it means you can't afford to fork out the cash all in one shot.

So now you ride something you can't afford if you crash it.

That's just not smart.

LOL...nah. Just pisses me off cos she has a point. I'd be pretty pissed if she wanted to spend that much money on something only she would enjoy...like 5,000 dollar shoes? LOL...I just blame people who ride like morons. There was something in the news here about a 40 year old man who just bought a big bike...and killed himself instantly...like got on, revved it, fell...dead. LOL [:'(] I think that doesn't help somehow.

Dude if you aren't engaged, tell her to **** off. If she is that controlling, it may be a sign of bad times ahead.
