Temperature??
I just bought an 01' F4i from my buddy and I was wondering what temp your bikes run at. When I'm consistently moving, it stays at 200-212. and when I stop it gets up to 220. Not sure where its supposed to run at but judging by the heat kicking out of it, it seems too hot. After riding for an hour I had red marks on my leg from the heat. Thanks

RE: Temperature??
depending how hot it is outside & if you are in stop & go traffic or highway..
at highway speeds i would say you should be running near 180 give or take 5 degrees.
if you are in stop & go during teh daytime with the sun out during the summer, i wouldn't be surprised to see it in the low 200's pretty constant. the fan should kick on around 224 or so, at least it does on mine.
btw i'm sure this has been asked & answered multiple times on this forum, did you happen to search before posting?

RE: Temperature??
Honda's run best at their hotter temperature. I have had mine all the way up to 240 and it ended up burning up my clutch. Kinda expensive when you idle when its over 100 degrees out. If you get that hot, turn the bike off if you are at a light and it reads over 230, and turn the key back on, so the fan can cool it down.
