Hey everyone. Just ordered a solo seat cowl from targa. Spent 230 big ones for it so it better look good! I know i know... 230 bucks for looks? I'll post some pictures when it arrives. :D:D:D:D:D

they have them on kneedraggers for like $130 -$140 i beileve
this included painting to match, right?

Oh really? I didnt know. I ordered from a honda dealer. I thought i was getting a good deal cause i didnt have to pay shipping and handling. The cowl is painted candy red to match the color.

Btw i really like how you painted the bike. Looks real nice. Can you fill me in the details on how you painted it? (information purpose only)

yea idk i just happen to be on kneedraggers and thought i saw them, but i could be wrong. plus if you paid no shipping and got it painted already it probably would only be a difference of like $10 or something

i actually didnt paint it, the guy i bought it off of already had most of this stuff done to it
the bike is actually half and half, u cant see the other side but the left side of the tank is blue and the left fairing is silver, etc, everything is opposite
the red bulls are just decals
and the rims are powder coated

I used it and it worked. Anyway, it was free shipping and actually shipped directly from the Targa factory in Cali. Oh yeah, my was painted gloss black.

Hey guys. The picture wasnt loading cause it was too big so I made it smaller and focused it only on the seat cowl. I think it looks great. I'll post better pictures when I can.

Cool. The installation was a breeze but I spent about 4 hours taking off some of the decals that I didnt like. Does it usually take that long? Well heres some pictures!! :D:D All feedbacks welcomed!!

Looks good. i am not a fan of the banana seat. plus i dont like riding with people on the back anyway. so i always have a cowl on mine. no seat cant ride people LOL.

are you going to put any silver on it to match up with the side fairings?

Nope. I like the way it is right now although I'd like a dark windshield in the near future. Oh btw does your seat cowl ever rattle or scratch the paint when you're going over 100 mph? I remember someone complaining about something like that.

yea i like the way it looks too.

i have a 2001 F4i now. but i had a FZR 600 for my first bike and never had any issue with the cowl. i just bought this bike off a friend of mine who is looking to upgrade to a 1000 RR. and he said he didnt notice any issues with the cowl. but it might be different with the one for the banana seat.

How does the FZR 600 compare to the f4i? I always thought f4i's were a little bit sportier but I've heard people compare the two.

actually i loved the FZR. it rode great. i actually out handled alot of people on that bike. it was jet kitted, for the extra umph. so it was a pretty fast bike. but as a compairison to the F4i. i would have to say, handeling wise, yea they are very similar. very agile. for both bikes, you can pretty much just wip them around and they will do what you want and stay on the road with ease. speed wise, the F4i will blow it out of the water! i think max on the FZR was around 150.

My fine female of 3+ years doesn't like motorcycles but then again, if she suddenly did... i can just take the cowl off. :o
