Default Targa solo seat

So i have searched and found nothing. I just got my targa solo seat for a 03 f4i and for the life of me i can't figure out how to install it. I got it used and i come with the rear clip for the lock and 2 metal spike like studs for mounting it in the front. well it doesn't mount anywhere. the rear clip fits into the lock great, but the front doesn't clip in @ all. is there some other bracket i need? thanks for the help

ok bud, my scanner is acting up but i snapped a couple quick pics hope they're of some help they should be

ok so there should be little tabs that mount under the seat (as shown with red circles). you just mount them and line them up as close as you can. then you should have the little pins mounted to the cowl itself (as shown with the blue circles) and part number 7 in the 4th pic is your locktab should be there and already screwed in adjust it as needed.

yeah i think so from what you wrote. there is 2 little brackets with gromets in them that those little spikes/pegs fit into.

I wonder if you gave Targa a call they'd send you the brackets, they can't be that expensive. Worth a try.
Just a heads up: When I put mine on I found that it took a while to get all 3 attachement points set up so that the cowl mounted securely.
It wasn't any trouble to get them all lined up so that the cowl slipped into place but getting them set up so that the rear latched consistently took a few tries.

i totally agree takes a couple adjustments to get it right, and snug. easy enough only took a few minutes

but contact targa by email them from this page http://www.targa-acc.com/cgi-bin/mail.cgi?category=cs or call 949 362-2505 they seem to have pretty good customer support , and they'll most likely send you off the tabs and they shouldnt be expensive at all.
