RE: takin off my radiator,
you don't need to take the whole thing off. there's like a bolt on the bottom and one on top holding it on. for the top, one side is a bolt the other is just a mount. slide off the radiator, you'll have room to do your way with the fan.
as for using engine ice, perfect time for a flush/cleaning too!
pull off the hose at the radiator outlet or the water pump inlet, let old stuff drain out, stick in Distilled water and some white vinegar...will help eat up the scales and gunk left in the system. run that sucker to temp, ride it, etc...drain it out...run distilled through it to flush it out...like in the other thread...then put in the engince ice, burp, fill, burp, fill...wait...burp, fill, tada! all done mang!

RE: takin off my radiator,
take hose off the left side of the bike...either from radiator or water pump to drain.
put hose back on.
refill with distilled and vinegar. bike is off all this time...
now start bike... rev it a few times...burps system and circulates the juice....let it run until 190 (cause at 180 tstat will open)...rev some...get bubbles out...pour more stuff in there...go for a short ride, return, let it cool...then drain out the juice.
now flush with distilled as you did in the previous step. make sure all stuff is out...no green, color, etc...
now fill with new stuff...and do the same as before...get all the bubbles out.
got it?

RE: takin off my radiator,
it's not perfect science...you'll know they are all gone when your bike doesn't overheat. you just don't want it getting trapped at the T-stat...cause that'll make it stay closed forever and ever.
that's why you rev it hard to burp it all out.
i must eat my lunch now...how disappointing...thought i grabbed a huge piece of pork chop for lunch...but now i see that i got a huge piece of bone!
