Why would someone drop it at 35? Must be a Stunta kind a thing. In 25 years of street riding, I've never dropped a bike while I was on it. I'm considering them for highway pegs.

I'm doing the install this weekend and I will take a million pics and do my best for a write-up (even though I know there are one or two write-ups already)
anyway, to the orignal thread poster, I'm glad your bike didn't get hurt :-)

RE: t-rex sliders drop
you boys are tough crowd
1) I pray everyday when I get on the bike I wont go down, so far so good.
2) at 35 MPH on the highway, or side streets I only care about my health, I can buy another bike, right. Thats why I bought a used one so I wont cry over 9k.
3) T-rex, doesn't look impresive, and I see where you are comming from. Cut once do have better base for instalation right on the frame, while T-rex is instaled between engine and extention of the frame.
anyways I am glad I got them it took me 30 min to install, very easy, good customer service and no scratches.( I was pissed when I droped it ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh).

RE: t-rex sliders drop
I'm in the process of installing my Vortex sliders right now. I've cut the right fairing and it is perfect! I used the tool form OES (http://www.oesaccessories.com/F4/F4i.html)and a1 3/4 inch hole saw and had to slightly enlarge the hole with a dremel. I'm just waiting for a torque wrench so I can go to the other side. The one thing I'm worried about is damaging the motor mount when torqueing the bolt. If you screw up, you'll be doing a lot more damage than a fall without sliders would! I wonder how many have ruined their engine mounts while trying to install sliders.
