swing arm extensions
i was looking at some of these at Roaring Toyz. are they any good and what is the benefit? i am not going to race i will mostly ride on the highway to and from work.
alot of guys on the boards hate the idea of extending these bikes . i did my research on these extensions , and while they might be practical for show ,they arent practical for riders. in riders i mean someone who rides frequently. if you look around the forums theres a guy that snapped one of them. and truthfully for about the same price you can get a welded extended swingarm.

There is absolutely no practicality in extending the bike if you're only gonna ride around on the highway. It'd be for looks only. Turning will be different, how much depends on how far you extend it. Pretty much up for you on this one.
there isn't a benefit. people do them for looks. but they take away from the bikes abilities.. no benefits.
there is a function to them.. surprised no one has said it!
extended swingarms of course extend the wheel base! longer wheel bases mean harder to wheelie... why would you wanna stop wheelies? drag racing!! that way you can launch your bike harder without recourse of a wheelie

so for someone who doesn't want to pop wheelies these are good. what is the best length?
