i didn't tighten it too much because when i do the throttle sticks because the grip gets squeezed in by the bar end...

YOU WONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH OUT THE BAR ENDS. YOU'RE JUST GONNA NEED SOME LOCK TIGHT TO PUT ON THE THREADS, CANT FIND ANY? TRY SUPERGLUE.

if the bolt has loctite on it you can still get it off. super glue would probably be a permanent fix

On a side note... I had considered getting new grips but all the sets i see in shops have closed ends. I'm assuming you need grips with open ends to work with a bike and bar ends but never seen any. Any ideas?

All you have to do is take a razor blade and cut the end out of the grip. The last set of grips I put on that is what I had to do. It works fine and you don't see the cuts because the bar end covers it up.

i took my progrips cut out a hole so my bar ends can go in. If you want to tighten it so the throttle doesnt stick just shave off some of the grip. And get some thread lock It will save you alot of headaches.. or just take both of them off and call it a day.
