ouch, first time....bummer......second time.....WTF!!!! you may want to invest in some barbwire fencing, some heavy HEAVY duty chain, electric fence, and some guard dogs inside w/ the bike. you might........MIGHT be ok then.

sorry to hear about it. man, idk what i'd do w/o my bike (while having to wait for money......then getting another one). i hope for the best.

I had just brought it home from base so it was only at my place less then a week and i had an appt at the bike place for low jack that morning. So it was being taken care of but im to the point that i dont really care anymore as long as i get my money...As for a new bike depends looking at the 1000RR or the R1. Wont be getting it till i get the house next month with the garage. The area i live in isnt bad its just the suberbs and people who steal come to the burbs to get stuff...I live 25 miles from DC but its still the DC Metro area so no matter where you have your bike or what you have on it they going to still it. Alarms up here dont mean nothing because my friend had his lifted in Va like 2 months ago with an alarm and disk locks. If they want it they are going to get it.

alarms and disk locks are a joke. people that live in houses might benefit from an alarm but those who live in apartments know that the range might and interference will be an issue. chains and guns do the job just right.
also, 13 year for one bike sounds exaggerated. may be for multiple bikes! grand theft of a car that cost over 50k you might get from 2-5years.
13 years for a 4g bike is excessive!

multiple charges is a different sorry. deadly weapon with intend to use is a biggie, which sounds like in this case is the primary charge and not the bike theft (going by your story)!
stealing is nothing major in this country. its as common as saying "hello".

i put that in the orgnial post or second post that he wasnt the cleanest of guys. Those are the only two things that i know of that were shown to me on his lil rap sheet he had a few other things but they were like theft under 10 dollars a drive off and somethign else but didnt really pay that much attention. Yea i knew that but as long as i got my settlement from the court i dont really care what happend to him just give me my money.
