Ive been considering purchasing an aftermarket seat for my 03 F4i and after today I gotta have one. I rode close to 300 miles today and if there is a good seat out there I can swap for I want it. Corbin is always an option and I know a gel pad is another option so need opinions if anybody has experience.

 

I liked my corbin alot, didn't really have any problems with it, after 150+ miles in a day my lower back would still be a little sore but I don't believe any seat would take that away unless I was riding an old school with a banana seat. As I can't sit for long periods of time due to back problems. I like how it hugs your bum. lol. Would I pay full price for one? No. I bought it back and June and as of now I"m going to switch bikes again in spring so I'm slowly selling the aftermarket stuff. https://cbrforum.com/m_650980/tm.htm

You should do an '04-06 banana seat conversion, LOL! I've done 300-400 mile days in the twisties on my '05 and my butt is fresh as a daisy.

 

I have a corbin, I don't like it. I think i sit further forward then most so it feels weird sitting on the hump area of the seat. But anyways if you didn't get p4eAaLcLe's seat i am going to sell mine.

Love my gel insert! I have never noticed a sore butt, only lower back (some lower back/pelvis problems) from leaning over.

 

what kind of gel insert do you have?

 

Not really sure, came from the PO with the gel. It looks like a big rectangle he just peeled the seat cover off, threw it in, and re-stapled the cover. I love it.

 

I can ride all day long on my 06, love the seat.
