steering damp on an f4i

Default steering damp on an f4i

i want to know who has done it and how? i would like to do that but i am not sure what damp to use and how to mount it. i dont want a scotts or something more like a fabricated r1 damp or something like that?

what? fabricated R1 damper?
you mean you want a cylinder type rather than a rotary?

I use GPR on all my bikes

yes i would like the hydraulic cylinder. and was owndering if anyone has done it? i am thinking about mounting it to the fairingstay holes on the frame and attach it to the forks but i need some more details to make my idea work. like how would i attach it to the forks?

There are some hydralic cylinder dampers available specifically for the F4i. No need to custom make something else if you want to avoid the hassle.

yeah it really doesn't take that kind of fabrication, just buy one for an F4i, here are a couple quick examples:

I have an ohlins for my f4i.I love it.Mounts to the top of the triple and gas tank bolts.

i have the hyperpro RSC damper and i love it....makes the bike nice and stable, mounts to gas tank bolts and the the top of theright shock.......... good setup, quick install....

well i ended up making a mount from a gsxr steering dampner total cost was less than $15 and i will post up pics tomorrow

yeah, im in for pics.. steering stabilizers are serious bank.

im not sure whats the performance difference, or what good or bad is compared to the GPR over a shock style dampener, but damn the GPR looks horrid. for the same price, or would rather have a shock based dampener. straight out fashion statement.

im in for pics though.. im always a fan of DIY.
