Default Steering alignment

Hey, unfortunately i recently went down. [:@] In the end I hit a curbing at ~5-10 mph and the front steering is tweaked. Is it easy to realign the wheel with the bars or do I need to take it in to a shop? Any other things I should be cautious of? I've never had to do much work on the bike before. Thanks!

Default RE: Steering alignment

depending on the severity of the impact, it is possible the forks are "twisted" in the triple clamps..try loosing the lower triple tree mounts..NOT THE TOP ONES UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR BIKE TO SLAM T OTHE GROUND!!
with the bottom clamp loose, see if you can put the front wheel between your knees and straighten it out that way. You may want a "spotter" to help hold the bike..if it straightens out, the make sure to RETIGHTEN the lower clamps
