RE: Stator cover
just replaced mine. its really as simple as unbolting everything that you see bolted down, swapping the cover (don't forget about the gasket), and bolting everything back into place. i used some thread locker on the bolts holding the stator to the cover since I didn't feel like buying an $80 torque wrench that i won't use ever again.

RE: Stator cover
Quick and easy job. I would recommend investing in a torque wrench though(Sears = $30). Trust me you'll put it to good use if you do any work on your bike. Or save yourself 60+ bucks on partsand polish that bad boy up. Check out corys35's bike/post. It looks sweeeeeet! Planning that already.
