Default Sprocket Question

I've searched this forum many times to find the right set up for my F4i. I want to have -1 +2. I've read from other F4i owners that was the best setup. The only problem is I don't know what that means. I don't know what size sprockets and chain I will need. Help is really appreciated.

Stock sizes are 16 and 46. -1/+2 would mean you'd need 15 and 48 sprockets. You can get a 520 kit which will save you a tiny amount of weight, or a 525 kit which is the stock size. Doesn't matter.

-1 and +2 means minus one and plus two teeth respectively for the front and rear sprockets.

and 520 is the width of the chain.

Welcome to the forum. Alot of it depends on what you are looking for from your bike. I see you have the name StuntinF4i, do you want to ride wheelies? Do you ever plan on taking your bike at 100+mph? When you change your sprockets, not only do you get more torque, you lose your top end. You lose the acurracy of your speedometer, this can be corrected with a Speedohealer. I did a -1 in the front witha 520 conversion. My top end is 155mpn. The low end gains tremendously. With the twist of the wrist, your front end will pop up very easily in 1st gear. Good luck

I lost about 5-8 mph with -1. But I am not really sure what the top end of the F4i stock was. The fastest it ever read was 163, and there is the error factor of accuracy of a speedometer at those speeds. So it could be more or less loss. I would be guessing that a -1/+2 might top out around 140-145 mph, but I don't have that on my bike. Besides, who rides that fast anyways? lol, we all do.

I might as well do the -1 +2 if I only drop to 145.

I have a 520 -1/+2 with a speedohealer and hitting the rev limiter in 6th is 150mph.

I don't feel the need to hit over 125mph... I want more tourque.... Are Vortex sprockets a good buy? My bike is only being ridden on side streets and stunting in parking lots. No need for high top end..
