Sound Clip
I think Tahoe explained it pretty well. He said it sounds like a bunch of bb's being rattled around in a cup.
To answer your question. No, I dont have a sound clip. I dont think you would be able to distinguish the sound on a recording

im looking to buy a 2002 f4I that has that sound between 5000 and 6000 rpm and i was just making sure there was no real issue with it. does it make a difference if you drive it like that for a while.
When my CCT failed, it made that noise in the 5000-7000 RPM range to which you mention. The noise will not go away after riding it for a while or once it warms up. It will only go away if it is replaced.
I'm not implying this information from my personal experience, from what I have read itdoesnt hurt to ride the bike with a bad cct. But, for about 70 dollarsyou can get the cct and a gasket and do it yourself ifit bothers you too much.
