Default softer seats?

On long rides, my butt aches like crazy. I know for the 1000rr bikes, Honda has those E-Seats that help offset the strain of long distance riding. Is there a similar seat option for the F4i?

You could get a Corbin but they are very pricey...http://www.corbin.com/honda/cbrmenu.shtml

There's always the DIY option of modifying & reupholstering your own seat w/ memory foam, etc.

my corbin was worth every penny. I can ride for hours and my butt doesn't bother me at all. One of the best mods for the money in my eyes...

Any upholstry shop can modify your stock seat into whatever you want. Thicker, squishier, softer, harder, shaped, anything.

I personally dislike corbins. What i did is took a stock f4i seat pan (split seat btw) and i used stock 04 gsxr750 foam. I went from riding for a hour with a aching ***, to riding to St Augustine (4 hour ride) with no aching. Took about 20 mins to make, and i love it.

I've heard those 04-05 gixxer 600-750 seats are quite plush, I think I might have to do that too.

The seat on my buddy's '06 Kawi 636 is pretty damn plush too. I couldn't believe it when I was sitting on it one night while he was checking the oil

The issue of a comfortable seat comes up with almost any bike and I found the solution a couple of years ago that I've used on a number of bikes I've owend with great success:

BeadRider - Beaded Motorcycle Seats

There is a reason why these are used by the long distance community and by the guy who held the record for a transcontinental race. You will not believe how they will transform the F4i seat. I went from not being able to ride for more than 2 hours to riding all day with no discomfort. They are counterintuitive just by looking at them but they eliminate hotspots completely. And cheap. You just gotta get over the looks but in person, on the F4i, they look cool. Plus, you are sitting on them so no one sees them while you are riding.

Spend $35 and try them. If you don't like them, return them and spend $400 on the Corbin. I'm tellin ya, they solve the problem.
