Default So I got to thinking...

I got to sit on a R6 and RR a couple of days ago and I have to say I did not enjoy the hunched over aggressive riding position.

So I got to thinking..down the line when I get rid of my f4i, what other sport bikes have a not too aggressive riding position.

The only ones I could personally find were naked bikes(honda 599, fz6) which aren't as aesthetically appealing and a fully faired SV650 in which I am now in love with.

Can anyone name anymore?

VFR is 800cc and is considered a sport touring bike not a super sport bike it's a whole different beast then a 1000 SS.

that being said why not keep your f4i if you are happy with it?

Just looking at other options...and to liven up the board a little. Seems dead lately

I rode an '02 VFR a while back, and compared to the F4i, it felt ponderous, physically large, and the ergonomics weren't as upright as you think... Nice low end torque and sexy as hell, though. I still want one.

GSXR's aren't too aggressive, at least for me. I rode one in California for 400 miles and was none the worse for wear.

My Aprilia Tuono has a bolt upright seating position with angled bars. Very comfortable. It has a windshield and fairing, but it still kinda windy.

Suzuki SV650 has a nice riding position, too. Terrific engine.

yes. I am completely obsessed with the sv650. I really wanted a fully faired one as my first bike..but the f4i was just way cheaper both bike wise and insurance wise.

The SV650 is a superb bike; I had one before the F4i. Also very good was its bigger brother the SV1000 but I don't think they make them new anymore. The new SV650 is now called "Gladius" in 2009 and it has now a different steel trellis frame (the original was aluminium trellis) and the engine got a small power hike. http://www.suzuki-gb.co.uk/bike/sfv650k9/

I like the looks of the VFRs but don't like the Vtec engine on bikes; many people dislike the sensation of the valves kicking-in when they are in a corner.

So like you seems I'm stuck with the F4i - lol. I love it, but if I had to get another bike (not change!) this is what I'm digging at the moment: http://www.hondacb1300.net/gallery/d...10033&pos=-203

They are still making the sv650SF ( fully faired and a ABS version) for 2009. I personally would never purchase the gladius...it looks like they are marketing it more towards girls
