Those ones are for sale on e-bay. I don’t know if they are making them or if they are from a legit manufacturer but they are selling like hot cakes. They say they have packing and a baffle in them. I would consider having one of those modified to fit my bike but im wondering how it will affect my power/fuel etc… I don’t know much about these things any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The reason they only do it on the yamahas is because of the exup valve apparently. I was gonna do something similar myself but a few ppl told me there would be back pressure issues.

Thats because on those bike that slash cut that comes out is just a straight pipe. there muffler is under the bike kinda like a buell. all they are going is changing the tip that shows. does not even change the sound. now if you put that on your bike you would be running a straight pipe because you don't have a muffler set up like they do. see the square canister coming off the header. thats the muffler on that bike.

Yeah thats the other reason, although some of those R1 pipes are muffled with a baffle and baffle sheet. It could probably be done if you threw some effort into it.
