Smile Silver/White Repsol project.

Hey fellow riders,

Alot of clean and awesome bikes out there, I bought this F4i last October from a dealership in Minnesota. Previous owner laid it down on both sides, fairings had some good scratches on them.

I always wanted to do a project bike and have something that will turn some heads, so me and a friend decided to change the fairings and eventually make everything really nice. Plus, I haven't seen any silver/white repsol F4i's, even with google search so this might make her stand out a little more.

Bike is still in progress, started on Feb 8th.

Before pictures

Front stand, one last pic

Starting to take the fairings off

Hella cheesy grin while working

Fairings removed

These are what we are installing

Tail fitment

Front fairing, cheap plastic on the windscreen so it cracked replacing the bushing, already ordered a Zero Gravity replacement

Nose Fairing, side fairing fitment

Tank fit with the old paint, You can sort of get an idea what she'll look like

Sanding down the tank for a re-paint

Coats of white, then the Silver is added

[B]Tank paint is done[/IMG]

And everything is slowly coming together

Possibly mirror block off's, haven't decided

Replacing the leather on the seats

And that's it for now, next goals are replace the sprocket/engine covers since they're scratched, re-paint the rims to white and rear tail delete. Let me know what you guys think

Nice. I would have done the rear tail delete now since the rear section has to come back off. Nice outcome thus far though.

How much are the fairings? Are they OEM quality?

Fairings were $350 shipped via DHGate, it's not OEM but pretty good for the price. A few parts are a tad stiff and require some finesse to put it on there carefully, but overall not too hard.

I'll probably order the rear tail delete within the next couple of weeks, just have to check the finances to clear first

Also the bike's going to be up for another couple of weeks while we do another white coat/clear coat on the tank so I have some time to spare before all is said and done XD

Front stand is good and solid, not going anywhere, done this before many of times on many different bikes not 1 problem. And then there is that one factor, u have to be at lease 2% smarter then what ur working with. And then again, u have that one idiot who just doesnt pay attention and knocks it over. lol

Haven't posted in a bit but here's the finished product for the time being, still a couple of things to do but that'll be handled in the next month or two.

How long was the wait for the fairings from time paid to time received? Also, were they the injection mold ones?
Looks clean!!!
