I (briefly) looked into the GSXR mirror idea yesterday. It looks like you'll have to permanently modify the fairing the route the wire through. Not a big deal since it'll always be covered by the mirror mounts, but something to consider. Also, aftermarket GSXR mirrors go for $60 each.

i got some of these off ebay. pretty similar to oem and arent too expensive.

^ I had a pair of these, and they are sooooo dim, you can't see squat during the day. Not worth the money in my opinion.

Personally I would just add LEDs to the front of your bike somewhere to use as turn signals. Some people put them around the end of the intakes, which looks pretty cool when done right. They even make side-emitting LED strips to make install much easier.

I agree, this would be my route.

I know this is a rather old thread, but I would be so grateful, if you could guide me as to where I can find the how-to..
I would love to put the 1000RR mirrors on, but they look like basset hound ears..all droopy!
