Should I de-CA my bike? If so how?
I have a CA model '03 CBR F4i, and yes i do live in CA. What I'm wondering is there any reason to keep this extra smog related equipment on my bike? As far as I know CA doesn't require smog tests for motorcycles.
I had a Kawasaki EX500 before my CBR and it was also a CA model. After recommendations from Kawasaki forum I ended up removing all the extra emissions equipment from that bike. However, it was also a carbonated bike, and I imagine a bit simpler the my CBR's engine.
If it does make sense to remove the extra emissions equipment from my bike does anyone have any tips or write ups on what I should and should not remove or hoses I should reroute or cap off?
If it makes any difference I've also just purchased a Power Commander III USB which I haven't installed on my bike yet.

Don't you love your state and want to be as green as possible?!?!??
LOL Man I can hardly type that without cracking up... Being from Texas I really don't give a crap about anything green
It may be more work then it's worth but knock yourself out as far as I know, no state requires motorcycle emissions because ALL Bikes are WAY more green then almost ANY car.

Ummm mine does. Right next to you in Arizona
Also, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but CA DOES have smog requirements hence the extra emissions crap
