Default Should I de-CA my bike? If so how?

I have a CA model '03 CBR F4i, and yes i do live in CA. What I'm wondering is there any reason to keep this extra smog related equipment on my bike? As far as I know CA doesn't require smog tests for motorcycles.

I had a Kawasaki EX500 before my CBR and it was also a CA model. After recommendations from Kawasaki forum I ended up removing all the extra emissions equipment from that bike. However, it was also a carbonated bike, and I imagine a bit simpler the my CBR's engine.

If it does make sense to remove the extra emissions equipment from my bike does anyone have any tips or write ups on what I should and should not remove or hoses I should reroute or cap off?

If it makes any difference I've also just purchased a Power Commander III USB which I haven't installed on my bike yet.

Don't you love your state and want to be as green as possible?!?!??

LOL Man I can hardly type that without cracking up... Being from Texas I really don't give a crap about anything green It may be more work then it's worth but knock yourself out as far as I know, no state requires motorcycle emissions because ALL Bikes are WAY more green then almost ANY car.

I'm interested in this info as well. I found out about the whole California emissions thing only after I purchased the bike.

Also, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but CA DOES have smog requirements hence the extra emissions crap
