Default Shifting on the F4i

Hey is it me or is the shifting a lil clunky on the first three gears? Then it smoothens out on the shifts from 3-->4-->5-->6. Also the shift from 3-2 feels like the shift from 2 through to 1, it's as if there's a neutral spot in there, is that normal? Could I be doing something wrong...or is this normal on this bike's shifting? Thanks!

Hopefully it is you and nothing is broken, try shifting faster. Don't let the revs drop too much.

I'm using mineral oil for now, I'll be switching to synthetic in a few thousand miles. I shift pretty quick IMO, it's not bad at all actually...I'm just concerned about the shift from 3rd to 2nd feeling like the shift from 2nd through to 1st. If feels as if there's a neutral in there, lol. I'll pay more attention today when I ride to see what I'm doing when it does this, perhaps it's me and not the bike.

I thought mine was clunky when I first got it also. Synthetic smoothed it out a little bit. From what I've been told it's just the way all sport bikes are. I was used to riding smooth shifting dirt bikes, so I had the same concern as you at first. Best advise would be to rev the motor more than you are before shifting and it will feel better.

Ya today I didn't notice the same feeling as before on the shift from 3rd to 2nd. I guess posting on here magically fixed my problem
It was similar to the other down shifts and nothing out of the ordinary. My shifting overall was smoother today, I donno what happened, but thanks for the help...I guess :P
