I'm part of the crowd too. I bought a new 06 F4i and I had never riden a day in my life. I'mnot evenone month into riding yet. Just don't be like me, I have very little time to ride becuz of work. (hard to get off a tugboat) I have only gotten 13 miles on it in a month. Sucks! I'll be off in two weeks, then I will make up for lost time and take my MSF class.

Yes these are great bikes.I am glad I got mine

For anyone thinking of getting a sportbike, please take the MSF course, buy and read as many books and articles on motorcycle safety and riding.AND be extra careful for the first year or so. Its a learning experience. "Things" dohappen.

These are still race bikes. Have fun and live long.

The Rev limiter is there for a reason...Tach that biotch up to 14k and shift by dumping the clutch!

Don't do it when you're in first gear thinking you're in second though. That =your first wheelie and scares you A LOT! haha I've got experience in that one.

My '06 F4i is my first bike and it's too slow, but I am 235lbsish now =(. I want a liter bike then it will be like a 600 for a 130lb guy!

if your first bike f4i is too "slow" you're not riding it right, 235lbs or 130 lbs

keeping the revs too low and out of the powerband so that the engine struggles to move the bike.

My engine luggs because I'm too fat! hahahaha My main problem is the throttle I can't get it to WOT without letting go and regripping and that's just dangerous. I'm going to get a 1/6 I think if they ever come out with one without having to buy a whole new switch assembly for the dang F4i. =/ My birthday is coming up at the end of this month and with that money I'm going to get a micron exhaust. =D

lol I think when people say they're too big for a F4i or any 600 it's like a guy saying they're too macho and need a truck instead of a car.
