serious consideration of a 2002

thirdgenlxi's bike is definitely an F4i. Depending on the previous owner and price, I'd buy a bike with 24k on the clock if I were looking for that bike.
If I was looking to buy an F3 and IDoDirt was selling one of his, I might actually pay a little more than norm given how he maintains them.

LJ-get the f4i man you will not be dissapointed I promise

Agree that 24k miles is nothing unless it was owned by someone who didn't know how to shift gears. I bought my previous bike at 19K, and was at around 46k when it was stolen. Otherwise I'd still be riding it and would have over 60 on it by now. I'd rather buy a bike that was ridden and maintained than one that sat and was neglected.
In response to the original poster, going from a steel-framed, carbed 900 to an F4i, if anything the 600 will outperform your current bike.

I would go for it, like everyone says the F4i is a tank. Mine had 30k when i bought it and now has around 33k since i got it a little over a month ago. Back when i was painting i noticed everything on it looked great. None of the seals were leaking and weren't dried out, its a 01' and i gave $2500 for it. Runs as good as the last one i had with 5k on it and the motor looks a lot better than the one that had 5k.
All depends on how well the previous owners took care of it. I got a few friend who wouldn't buy a bike with more than 10k on them, but a 10k bike can have more problems than a high mileage bike depending on how they were abused.

It all depends. My bike is literally in perfect condition..outside of needing a cctl replacement. Not 1 scratch or blemish, had all paperwork of it being serviced, had race exhaust professionally installed, etc.
$4k for a brand new looking/riding bike is a deal.
