serious consideration of a 2002

I curently own a 96 900rr and have a serious thought about getting this 2002 F4i with 24,000 miles has been very well maintained and looks good few rough spots as im told but what are some personal opinions of your bikes and should I make the change from a 900 to a 600 . Me and my wife have decided what to do. I just would like to get some opinions on the F4i please speak freely my friends wont hurt my feelings

Just add it as a second bike. :icon_wink:

Well the step up from carbed to a EFI bike will be nice. The power will be less than your 900 but with gearing it should be able to keep up with its accel. I have a 06 F4i and i love it. It starts up with no hesitation in the 30 degree weather and i would highly recommend an F4i to anyone.

This has been considered but I don't have room to store 2 bikes and if I sold one for the other it would pay for.more than half of what im paying for the F4i

They're tanks man. Maintained they're one of the most reliable bikes money can buy. Mine is just short of fifty thousand miles

If its Nates bike, you'll have to stroke his ego first b4 he'll let you buy Issabelle. 24000 miles is alot of miles. I have just over 9000 and mines a 1999. Id never buy a bike with 24000 miles on it.:icon_shrug: OMG JP, 50000 miles on your F4i??? Thats crazy!

There's a member here with 200k miles on his F4i. The guys in the Hurricane section are running bikes older w/ more miles than that without a problem. Properly maintained, 24k is the beginning of puberty to Hondas.

I'll leave those bikes for you to buy then. I wouldnt buy a bike with 24000 on it, you can, not me!:icon_no:

I believe that 200,000 bike is an F4.

thirdgenlxi's bike is definitely an F4i. Depending on the previous owner and price, I'd buy a bike with 24k on the clock if I were looking for that bike.

If I was looking to buy an F3 and IDoDirt was selling one of his, I might actually pay a little more than norm given how he maintains them.
