Default Seat Material: Leather or Vinyl

I can't seem to find the answer. I have an 01 F4i and looking to get a Corbin seat. I want the carbon fiber look but don't know if I should get the leather or vinyl. It would be for street use only. Which is better? Pros and cons.

Thanks for any help

Vinyl unless you plan on it never ever getting caught in the ran. Leather requires alot more care than vinyl esp when exposed to the elements. Dont think ya can get the cf look in leather, but I do like the look n feel of real leather. just never have like taking care of it lol.

I have the leather corbin seats and they have seen plenty of rain with no problem so far. They come with a conditioning creme to put on them and I put it on once a year. When you give the bike a nice cleaning it takes just a few minutes to rub in a little creme on the seat. Allow it to dry and its not slippery or anything so I prefer the leather.

Here is a pic of them on my bike. They are not carbon fiber though, just straight black.

leather is nicer, but the vinyl will be more durable, especially out in the sun. id say vinyl, they are both gonna feel about the same

+1 to vinyl. Easily replaced if damaged.

Yep, marine grade vinyl. I've redone two seats w/ it. All you need are strong fingers & a staple gun. ;-)
