Seat conversion?

RE: seat conversion?
Bananna seats began on the F4i in 2004. I changed mine over to a split seat i.e. 2001-2003 model years. you will need
a sub-frame, battery tray, tail light, new tail fairing, rider seat, passenger seat, and about 3 hours of your time if you have everything you need when you start.

RE: seat conversion?
I was at a bike show a few weeks ago and talked to some guys who do custom seat covers, and they had pictures of a bannana seat which was changed to look exactly like a split one! Looked good in the picture.I think this is their web site, but I'm not positive:
http://www.luimoto.com/seats/seatsmain.htm
The seat I'm talking about isn't on the website. You would have to call them about it. It would be a much cheaper and simpler solution. I'm thinking about doing it myself
I saw examples of their work and it looked quite nice
Good Luck

RE: seat conversion?
any idea how much the conversion would cost? I was looking buying the corbin seats but they are expensive. The reat seat could change from single riding and dual riding with the smuggler. http://www.corbin.com/honda/hf4i4smug.shtml If you look in the notes section it shows the smuggler changing out for the second seat. You have to delete all of the extra signs and the end of the website to see it right.
