Saved my sorry a$$
I finally got fed up with getting a numbbutt after 2 hours of riding and rode down to Seattle got one of these made:
http://www.richscustomseats.com/
The seat is custom molded and has a gel padinlay. It took 7 hours to make it with multiple "fittings". It's unbelievably comfortable, and greatly improves my riding (due to lumbar support gripping me when I accelerate) I especially like the leather cover! And while Rich was at it helowered the seat so I can actually get flat footed! What a bonus!!!!!
I can now ride all day without getting a sore butt and the bike is a pleasure to ride!
(the pictures look a bit greasy because I just did a leather treatment!)

RE: Saved my sorry a$$
I had a local guy shape my stock seat for $175. He used a 'tacky' material so my girlfriend wouldn't slide forward and built little 'pockets' in the banana seat for both of us, very similar to yours. It is a definite improvement. If he were to use leather and put in the extra stitchingit would have been very similar in price to what you paid.
Some people think a slip-on is worth it, or a PCIII or dyno tune is worth all that money, not me. It seems like you got a very nice seat made for a fair price. And really, even if you and I paid a little too much, as long as my *** is happy, I am happy.

It really was worth it. I've never sat on a Corbin, but if you could have seen Rich spend 7 hours carving the thing-test ride-carve some more-test ride-etc, etc. it's hard to imagine a Corbin fitting the same. Other advantage is that this seat fits right on the bike just like the orrigional (it's the same tray) - no mounting hardware necessary. And besides, will Corbins adjust the seat height to whatever you want? Also, I've heard of some guys who don't like their Corbin. Impossible with this one, cause Rich keeps working on it until you love it!
Oh, and that vintage Vespa belongs to my wife. I ride her, not the scooter!
