it helps if wherever you're doing it is fairly warm.

I did it in sub 50 degree weather and it was difficult. Went over it twice and still not much came off. When it warmed up, it was very easy to come off.

My front rim was a pain in the a$$ and it took 3 coats and had to use an abrasive pad to get it all off, but my rear rim took only one coat and wiped off with a rag in only a few minutes. And I painted the spokes a gloss black. Heres my rear rim...

I front took more than my rear as well. It only took one coat, but I had to use a wire brush to get some of it off. Looks good!

To do both front and rear rims took total of about 13 hrs using paint stripper.
I'll post up some pics of the process when i get back home.

Has anybody removed all the paint from the wheel? Every time I see a wheel that has had the rims stripped, I wonder why not just strip it all off. If I had the patience, I would try it myself.

I know its a pain but the only solution is to be VERY patient, especially if it's cold outside. I had the same problem. I just let the paint remover sit on the rim for an extra 5-10 minutes to be sure that it went through the paint.
