Default riding in the wind

Hey guys, concerned a little for my commute home today. Winds are gusting at about 35mph right now and I've never ridin' in that kind of wind before. Not sure if it's a cross wind or what but any thoughts or experiences?

Thanks.

I absolutely hate riding when the wind is gusting. Theres nothing more annoying than driving in a cross wind and having to have your bike at an angle the whole time.

Pretty much if you just relax and maintain your awareness you will be ok.

35 isnt going to throw you across the road, just counteract when the wind is pushin you. Its not hard you just have to get used to it...
Also on another note, DO NOT do wheelies in high wind That WILL shove you clear across the road.

Thanks guys, yeah, it wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be. Basically did exactly what you recommended. Tucked and counter-steered. DThompson, wheelie, me?? I'll leave that to you guys! LOL.

Yeah we regularly get 50+gusts down here. You try to counter it, then the gust stops and your on the sholder trying to stay off the grass. Then another gust comes while your back upright and pushes you next to the 18wheeler.

Exciting ****.

Just tuck and push your feet hard onto the pegs and stay relaxed. Be smooth. You will be fine.
