For short distances i'll be lazy and ride with my glasses, no problem except for getting the helmet on and off. Riding with contacts saves that hassle, but that's pretty much the only downside glasses have.

ORIGINAL: woodyracing

I wore glasses under my helmet for a couple years, it was definitely a PITA
I never could wear contacts, my eyes dried out really bad and the contacts drove me nuts
had LASIK done this time last year and now I don't know how I lived with glasses for so long
Yep, got LASIK done at TLC 1 1/2 years ago. Could imagine what a PITA riding with glasses would be sinceI did it with sunglasses. Going to buy the Scorpion EXO-1000 with sunvisor so no more sunglasses.

I rode with glasses for a month or so, then got sick of it, and got contacts. I was always trying to pull my helmet off without taking my glasses off first, and they'd stab me in the face.

Rode with glasses and contacts for over 30 years. PITA when I used glasses. Helmet on, glasses on. Glasses off, helmet off. Don't mess up the order.

Had LASIK surgery last year. Now I switch shields around, though the Aria low smoke works pretty good most of the time.

Well, I'm not going to watch that video since I'm going in for LASIK this Friday and I really don't want to know how they do it. I not going to miss my glasses, though.

there is another surgery besides lasik where they dont have to cut your eye open...they just use a lazer to correct it. Its actually better because if you need it fixed again in the future, its an easier procedure to do. Cutting takes away the cornea, where as the lazer doesnt.

As another person w/ glasses, I've dealt with the helmet first, glasses second thing since buying my bike two years ago. It's never really bothered me a lot, just adds like 10 extra seconds each time you want to put your helmet on/off. The glasses have never been an issue under the helmet.

I have contacts as well, but since I don't use them daily, it takes me like 20 mnutes to get them both in my eyes, haha. One of my little 2008 goals is to use them more often.
