Default rider down

well guys we a bad time today. Me and my friend that i ride with on most weekends went out for a ride this morning to our favorite twesties and right as we were starting to get close to where they start we came up on a car from behind and i saw the car starting to slow down so i thought at the time to let us pass, but as i started to pass on the left side the car started to turn into me so i swung wide to the left and gave it more gas to get around but my friend was right behind me, the car continued to turn to the left but even at a faster angle. my friend hit the side of the car the bike stopped but he flew over the front into the street. we spent most of the morning in the emergancy room.my friend is fine now he only broke his ankle, i say only because hitting a car at 45mph could do a lot more. It all seemed like the car in front wanted us to pass, but now i know that he never even new we were behind him. so guys be careful and know that when it all happens the one thing that i keep thinking was, it all happen so fast. He said he knew he was going to hit the car, there was really nothing he could do but brace for it. be careful guys

I hope your friend heals quick.

This is why I get so bent out of shape with people who don't signal. Everyone seems to think it's no big deal.

Damn....same thing happened when I got cut off...the guy said he didn't see me, after my man had already passed him. But we were on a straight highway, during the day...one would think you may have a little more difficulty seeing bikes on a twisty road.
