Can you take some pictures of where the lights/pods/main modulehave been mounted. Maybe a short write up. I may want to do this over the winter months for a small project. I would do yellow hence the color of the bike.

haha, i expected the mixed reactions. i personally like it, and i live in ohio. the police haven't given me crap yet, and from what i hear they don't really care about lighting. you can't directly see any bulbs, so i don't think this really qualifieswith the traditional lighting restrictions, but who knows.
got the bulbs for $15.50 (shipping included) on ebay. they're 4 12" cathode tubes (use less energy than LEDs) designed to light computer cases... i stripped off the computer wires and just ran them to an extra switch i had, and mounted that to the dash.
stuck 2 of the tubes under the rear fender, 1 under the bike, 1 on top of the radiator. using10 metal pipe brackets from home depot ($1) and some tiny bolts ($1)
so i did the whole thing inunder 3 hours (including 2 trips to the store) andfor under $20 (dunno how many strippers you can get for that), but i figured it's worth it.

I <3 the lights. I have lights on all my vehicles, and work for a company who sells lights part time. I'm looking forward to redoing my lighting setup this winter.
Glocker23: How on earth does him having lights on his bike give people the wrong impression of the sport bike community? If anything, cagers and others will be happy they can see him easier. I was told on numerous occasions that it was nice to have the added visibility - and this was from random people in cars/trucks. In my opnion, doing wheelies, racing, and other typical sport bike shenanigans are what give people the wrong impression.
When people see them they don’t say "WOW, im glad he has those so i can see him better" they say "look at this guy showing off and showboating...damn street racers" or something to that effect. When in fact they (cages and other bikes) arE taking more time to look at the "cool" lights…when they should be paying attention to the other things around them on the road.
Its just like when one person sees a bike doing 120mph in and out of traffic and acting like a retard....they will immediately assume that’s how the sport bike community acts as a whole ..... and then in turn will have no respect for the rest of us just trying to enjoy a nice ride.
It just creates a negative image that personally I don’t want to portray.
When I’m out on the street, I don’t want people to think "there goes another one of those immature street racing punks." I want them to give me as much respect as they would anyone else. (which now adays isnt ****...but whatevr...Ill take what I can get!!!)

Some people are going to have their opinions no matter what. Just like you think neons have a negative impact on biker images, and nothing that I say is going to change that. Because it's YOUR opnion. You could be wearing full gear, driving the speed limit, using your turn signals, and obeying all laws, and I guarantee someone is still thinking to themselves "damn motorcyclist...". Such is life. You brought a negative opinion onto yourself by simply riding a bike.
The trick is to not give a crap about what other people think =)
I also I hardly think that 120mph weaving through traffic is comparable to some neon lights. Heh.
