After you guys cut your sproket cover, what adverse effects (dirt, oil, etc) did it have (if any)?

I'm revisiting the idea of GP Shift again. I also want something that's crashworthy if need be and that has easily replaceable parts. Brake light switch is a MUST.

I was reading somewhere about the PPTuning rearsets on the RC-51 board but cannot find them.

what are the benefits of a GP shift anyways... why do GP racers even do that. i did it on my 750 to try it out but i dunno. i only did a lap around the block to see if it worked.

It's easier to stomp on the pedal to go faster. Personal preference. Mladin is one of the few Pro racers that use a standard shift, but I heard that it's because of an injury, so I dunno if that really counts.

I just changed mine to the gp **** pattern! I like it but it will take some getting used to Well shifting up in gears and shifting down in gears seems to be more solid!!! Im gonna mod my sprocket cover to make it fit!

i believe the reason for the gp shift to to help during high-speed left hand turns. with the gp shift, you can still upshift as you are exiting the turn while still in the lean, without having to wedge your foot under the shifter. this way you just step on the shifter and go...

man that blows, I wish someone could make the metal peice that connects to the transmission not the shift bar, i wish they could alter just that piece so that it sticks out more so i can turn the bar around. Possibly a good idea if anybody wants to help me create something like this.
For free you can take your shifrter off turn it upside down and cut a very small part where it rubs on and poof you have Moto GP shifting for free it takes all of 5 min. works fine on our bikes
