Good Job. Glad you took the plunge. You're an inspiration to us all. I looked at the color-rite.com site and they don't appear to have rattle-cans. It looks like it's gun type paint. Did I understand correct that the whole bike is spray can paint from them?

go here for the 2005 1000rr repsol paint (bottom 3 colors):

http://www.colorrite.com/CRPLfactory...imageField.y=4

the aerosol cans for $33 each are what i used. then i clearcoated it with a two part automotive paint (left over from old civic), dupont chromaclear. i also got the special pads and finishing compounds for it, so after i wetsanded the clear with 2000 grit, i polished it out with 3m perfect-it III rubbing/polishing compounds, using the matching buffer pad (makes a big difference).

a guy in our club who is also a motorcycle salesman suggested i sell it. now that i think about it, it worries me to ride it on the track. i do have a lot of time and money in it, especially the paint. if you're serious, pm me an offer and we can talk.

Dont sell it[:@]. Ride it like its the 1000rr on the track and turn some heads first

That is beautiful... making us mismatched plastics people look bad!

I might have to try and make my street plastics look as good as your track plastics
