Default Removing Battery

I was trying to get my bike ready for winter storage today and i cant get the battery out of it. Its wedged in there too tightly and i just cant get a good grip on it to pull it out. Any suggestions or tricks on how to get it out of there?

make sure your hands arent all sweaty/greasy (obviously, lol). try two screwdrivers, or a jar opener. i think last time i had that problem i ended up using a jar opener to keep a better grip on it.

not a big problem, im sure you'll find a way.

Once you get it out make sure to put a rope or strap underneath it so you can get it out again.

you do know that there is a hole underneath the battery tray that you can place a screw driver or your finger thru to porp the battery up, right?
pop it up and then grab it.

+1 on the holes underneath...you can actually just use your fingers to push it up enough to get a good grip on it....i am pretty sure that is what the holes are there for....

I believe those holes could also be there for water/moisture to drain.

wow, thanks for the tip! never would have thought of that. i always thought you needed to find a tiny japanese person to get it out since everything else on the bike is impossible to get to with average man-hands[:-]

I got a nine year old Indonesian girl for Christmas last year so I could do my own maintenance on the bike...

voo, i went with a japanesegirl. she came with her own set of tools and a gps in case she needs to find me to do some roadside work. sure, she is a bit more expensive but with the winter just around the corner i think it a good investment.
