Default Rearsets & Pegs Powdercoated! (pics)

I had my rearsets & rear passenger pegs powdercoated black to match the frame a little better. Only cost me $35 and it's sort of a wrinkle black.

I just threw these on quickly the other day to get some pictures. I got the fairings off because I'm gonna change out the CCTL tomorrow & I also gotta do a coolant flush this weekend so that's why they aren't the best pictures.

I'm working on a (sort of) "custom" exhaust hanger still & I'm not gonna put the passenger pegs back on (looks cleaner without them). I just had them done to match the rearsets.

I also took the stickers off my rear swing arm & the rear shock reservoir.

A couple things to note......

The black powdercoat doesn't match perfectly....yes, I know that. But for only $35 and the guy is gonna do some extra parts for me for free....I'm not complaining. It's just a local company that powdercoats their products in black & white (only 2 colors they use) and I happened to need black. It stands out less than the silver look of the rearsets before though.

Also....I didn't get the shifter lever or brake level powdercoated. The reason being is that the shifter lever has the pressed/ball fitting on the back &powdercoating would've locked that up which wouldn't work too good, obviously. I could've done the brake lever black, but I wanted both sides to look "equal" so I kept them both silver/aluminum.

Plus the bike will look better with the fairings back on

Looks good. I have been wanting to black out my sets as well. Just don't want to be without a bike for a few days. Then again...there is rain in the forecast here. onders and strokes beard man-chu style:

I was the guy that recommended you do that after you posted pics of your bike up....but yeah you said the same thing.....down time of being without the bike

Should only take 1 day if you have somewhere local do it

be happy it was only $35. all shops in my area charge WAY more than that. just for the footpegs... it's $20... PER SIDE. rims are $120... PER RIM.

Looks great, even though the textured black is the weakest powder they make it is still some tuff stuff. I have the steps and light bar on my truck done in the same color.
