rear pre-load stuck

I've had my F4i for about 6 days now, and today I decided to try different settings for the pre-load. It was on 6, and with some struggle I brought it down to 4. I can't get it down to 3, because it is somehow stuck. I sprayed some WD40 to try to lube it up a little, but it still wouldn't budge. I also tried to use some more leverage by making the spanner+extension longer, but still no luck. Also, on one of the attempts, I pulled on it so hard that the bike tipped over on me, but luckily I caught it before it hit the ground. I also bent the spanner wrench sideways on another one of the attempts.

Any suggestions???

Thanks!

Are you sure you're on setting #3 and not already on #1? Because it shouldn't be that hard to move it. There's an indicator mark, one on each side, that should align with the number. Just checking because when I first started messing with mine I wasn't sure what was what.

It's the blue arrow. There should be an indented mark below the adjustment ring, as I discovered later.

So the little line inside of the square "window" is where the preload is at?? I thought it was the notch at the top of the whole assembly facing up. So if that's the case, my preload is at 7 right now. But it seems a lot softer than before?

Thanks!

you and me both brother. I went to my dealer because i thought i got mine stuck too. Then he showed me the window and I told him I thought it was the top marker. He said its a common mistake

I'm glad this thread was started because I would have thought the marker was straight up, as well. I do have to get a spanner wrench first, though. Thank you Honda, I didn't spend enough money with you yet, and I would like to purchase my own tool kit...hello Ebay.

Yeah, there's a window on each side and also an index mark. They should both show 4, or 5 matching or whatever on each side.
