Ok guys today I changed my oil for the first time. By the way its a 2002 f4i. I put mobile 1 back in it let it run for about 5 minutes, turned it off. About 10 minutes later I went for a ride motor is ticking bad now its really loud I put 3q in it was that enough oil or did I need to put more

 

I believe it is 3.3 quarts. Check your oil with it upright and look through the sight glass on the right side.

 

Ya I checked that I see the oil but the motor is sounding like it would as if there was no oil or a blown motor

 

What weight oil did you use?

 

I used 10-40 mobile 1

 

has the CCT been replaced on it?

 

Ya I changed it I makes that sound at about 5 to 6 k and above

 

The person I bought my 02 from changed the cct at 4500 miles with another oem one, it went bad again at 9000 miles and I put in a manual one. I did have to readjust it again at about 15000 miles.

 

could be the CCT..where do u hear the knocking sound from?..topend?..mine sounded like knocking before i replaced it with a manual..

 

if it makes that sound around 5-6k then its a good possibility it could be ur CCT
